October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Whether they are patients or family members, we have all loved someone who is battling breast cancer. That is why Esteem Dental & Orthodontics was proud to show our support this past weekend. Our team and office were decked out in our brightest pink, and Dr. Jordan even sported a customized Breast Cancer Awareness hairstyle! We encouraged our patients to also wear pink during their appointments to join in on raising awareness.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast. While breast cancer can affect men and women, the vast majority of cases and deaths are women. Each year, 42,170 women will die from breast cancer. Since early detection is one of the largest factors in successful treatment, it is more important than ever to raise awareness about this disease.
How can you help?
The most important thing that you can do is to educate yourself about breast cancer. Knowledge and early detection saves lives! Learning how to properly self-evaluate, and knowing what to look for, is essential. Additionally, talk to your friends and family about being proactive in their own breast health. You never know when a conversation with a loved one may result in life-saving, early detection of the disease.

Stronger Together
Crunch Fitness really knew how to draw a crowd, and we wanted to make sure we had some jaw-dropping prizes to give. When it came to what we handed the winners, we really wanted to be as intentional as possible. They could win $500 off braces, $250 off of Invisalign, a free consult, or free hand sanitizer, snacks, and toothbrushes.
Getting to stand next to a local business that we know and love while also getting to invest in our community was an awesome experience! We can’t wait to see how Crunch Fitness continues to invest in the physical and mental fitness of their community!
